Is this a true dedicated server?
Yes. You get a single-tenant server with dedicated CPU and RAM — the whole physical machine, not a shared VPS slice. Choose the OS that fits your stack.
How is this different from VPS?
A VPS is a virtual private slice on shared enterprise hardware (KVM). A dedicated server is the full bare-metal machine — stronger isolation and capacity for heavier workloads. Many customers start on VPS and move to dedicated as they grow.
Can I install Windows or another OS?
Yes. Dedicated servers can run Linux, Windows or another major OS — unlike our VPS plans, which are Linux only. Tell us which OS you need at order time. Windows licensing may be charged separately.
How quickly are servers provisioned?
Listed builds are typically provisioned within about 4–24 hours. Custom hardware can take longer depending on parts and configuration.
How many IP addresses do I get?
Every dedicated server includes 1 IP address. Extra IPs can be requested with justification — ask sales when you order.
What port speed do I get?
Dedicated plans include a 1 Gbps port as standard, with unlimited data transfer on the listed builds.
Can I customise hardware?
Yes. Use the custom option or email sales@hostcloud.ie with the CPU, RAM, disk and IP requirements you need.

Dedicated servers are hosted in our Dublin data centre in Ireland.
